$22,000,000 Designated For New Lyndhurst Train Station

Mayor Robert Giangeruso and the Lyndhurst Board of Commissioners have authorized NJ Transit to move forward with its 22 million dollar capital improvement to the Lyndhurst Train Station. The new station will replace the current antiquated Lyndhurst Train Station on Stuyvesant and Court Avenues. The new station will not only help to improve ridership, but will also provide handicapped access to passengers; something the township has been lacking. “We are extremely excited to be on the receiving end of this incredible 22 million dollar infrastructure improvement from NJ Transit,” said Mayor Giangeruso. “This will increase property values while not costing the taxpayers of Lyndhurst one cent.”

Construction is expected to begin as early as the end of this year. The Kingsland station on Ridge Road will remain open. Keep checking back for more information as it becomes available.
